Pastor's Weekly Word

In a world that runs on schedules and routines, it’s easy to
assume that tomorrow will be just like today. But Scripture
reminds us otherwise. Jesus said in Matthew 24:42-44,
“Watch therefore…be ye also ready.” That is not a casual suggestion–it is a divine warning.

Yet many ignore it. As 2 Peter 3:4 tells us, people will say.
“Where is the promise of His coming?” Because life seems
to continue as it always has, they assume it always will. But,
that assumption is dangerous.

The truth is, we do not know when the Lord will return–and
we do not know how long we have. James 4:14 reminds us
that our life is “even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time,
and then vanishith away”. That means the call to be ready
is not for someday–it is for today.

Let us not become comfortable in delay or careless in
routine. Let us live watchfully, walk faithfully, and stay
prepared. Because one day, what has long been a warning
will suddenly become reality. Be ready.

God Bless,
Pastor Chris
