Pastor's Weekly Word

"Renewing Your Mind in a Mindless World"

Jesus teaches us that the wise man built his house upon the
rock, while the foolish man built upon the sand. (Matthew 7:24-27)
Both faced the same storm–but only one stood firm. The
difference was the foundation.

Life will bring it’s share of challenges. Trials, disappoint-
ments and uncertainties are unavoidable. What determines
whether we stand or fall is what our lives are built upon. If
our confidence rests in circumstances, feelings, or human
strength, we will find ourselves shaken. But if our lives are anchored in Jesus Christ, we have a foundation that cannot be moved.

A firm foundation is not built in a moment–it is built daily
through prayer, obedience to God’s Word, and faithful fellow-
ship with His people. As we walk closely with Christ, He strengthens us from the ground up.

This week, I encourage you to examine your foundation. Build
upon the rock. When Christ is your foundation, no storm can destroy what He is building in you.

God Bless,
Pastor Chris
